e-Learning CBT

Start your journey from home! Gain access to GTA’s ATR 72-500specific Computer-Based Training (CBT) platform 10 days before in-class sessions. This interactive e-learning tool ensures a thorough understanding of theoretical concepts, letting you review materials at your own pace. Stay ahead by continuing to use the CBT even after classroom sessions, reinforcing your knowledge.

Engage in 57 hours of in-person training led by active ATR pilots. Benefit from expert guidance and GTA’s innovative teaching approach. Our mission goes beyond test preparation—we make you a confident, skilled pilot.

Enhance your learning with Virtual Procedure Trainer (VPT) sessions, complemented by virtual reality to optimize training time. The VPT bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and Full Flight Simulator (FFS) training, reducing costs and maximizing efficiency.

Simulator Training

ATR Full Flight Simulator (32h)

Experience 32 hours of immersive training on an ATR 500 Full Flight Simulator (FFS), certified to Level D, the highest standard available. Every hour of training replicates an actual flight with unmatched realism. Sessions are guided by expert EASA-certified SFI instructors at GTA Madrid, Spain.

Conclude your simulator training with the Licence Skill Test (LST) onboard the ATR 500 FFS. Conducted by a certified TRE examiner, this final assessment ensures you’re fully prepared to succeed.

FAQs

Below you will find specific questions about ATR 500 EASA Type Rating Program

What does a ATR 500 type rating course at GTA include?

The ATR 500 Type Rating includes all the necessary educational materials, as well as a backpack, USB lanyard, and other merchandise. Accommodation and transportation are NOT included.

To secure a spot in the TR course, an initial deposit is required. The remaining payment must be made at least 14 days before the course starts. Once the payment is completed, 10 days before the Type Rating begins, you will receive access to our e-learning platform and CBT.

The type rating is an incredibly intense period where all I did was study, eat, and sleep. Personally, I would advise you to focus solely on your type rating during this time, as it is all-consuming. As you might have guessed, I’m currently flying the ATR.

The ATR 72 has been operational for almost 36 years, with only ten fatal crashes recorded. Having delivered over 1,220 units, it continues to be a preferred option for regional flights. Its first major accident took place in 1994.
