I first heard about Global Training Aviation through a friend who was already training here while I was looking for a place to complete my A320 Type Rating. After doing my own research, I realised that GTA is one of the most reputed training organisations for type rating, which made my decision to come to Spain much easier.
So far, GTA has fully met my expectations. Before joining, I was told the course would take around six weeks, and after completing my first month of training I had already received my end date, which means I will finish in about five and a half weeks, exactly as promised.
The training experience has been excellent. The instructors are highly supportive, approachable, and genuinely committed to helping us understand the aircraft. They create a great learning environment while making the process enjoyable at the same time.
One of the things I have especially appreciated is the simulator training. We were able to train on a Fixed Base Simulator, which gave us the opportunity to actually fly the aircraft rather than simply practising procedures on touch-screen devices. That hands-on experience has been a real advantage compared to what I have heard from students training elsewhere.
Moving to Spain for training was also much easier than I expected. GTA provided all the necessary documentation, including the invitation letter, and guided us through the process. The visa application was straightforward, and even arriving in Spain and going through immigration was hassle-free.
Another highlight has been the extra opportunities provided throughout the course. We have received additional VPT sessions to practise and even had the chance to experience a Full Flight Simulator session before starting our official simulator phase. Experiencing the aircraft’s motion and getting extra training time has been both exciting and extremely valuable.
What stands out most about GTA is the people. Despite the language differences, everyone has been incredibly friendly, welcoming, and willing to help whenever needed. That supportive atmosphere has made my experience here even better.
I would definitely recommend GTA Spain to other Indian pilots looking for a Type Rating. The quality of training, the professionalism of the instructors, the additional training opportunities, and the support provided throughout the entire process make it a great place to train and prepare for an airline career.
