FIRST FLIGHT ATTENDANT IN HISTORY

Heinrich Kubis  (1888-1979)  was a German who works in Hotels since he was very young. Thanks to his knowledge of languages and protocol he was hired to work on the first Zeppelin airline (DELAG). In 1912 he became the first Flight Attendant in History. He worked in the Zeppelin restaurant, attending the passengers.

On 6th May 1937, Kubis was on board the LZ-129 Hindenburg. When they were about to land in Lakehurst, New Jersey, when the airship caught fire. It was the biggest ever built, with 97 people aboard including passengers and crew. He saved himserlf and several passengers, encouraged them to jump from the windows.
